Seven summits - A Team Of Educators
Seven Summits aims to enable people to deliver a co-curricular program to help young people develop a wide range of specific skills that then are able to be integrated together to facilitate a deeper foundation for life. Co-curricular is a term that is used commonly throughout schools, but what does it actually mean? At Seven Summits, we believe that ‘co-curricular’ is more than a buzz word but is a fundamental part of a students’ development both in an educational sense but also and importantly, in an overall developmental sense. Whilst some would see co-curricular activities as ‘extra’ or ‘on top’ of normal curriculum, Seven Summits would argue that these integrated, co-curricular activities and lessons are vital to a student’s educational and emotional development.
Seven Summits provides resources that have been designed to add value to a teachers’ program without adding time and effort to the teacher’s planning and teaching. The resources available have been carefully and thoughtfully created and chosen to meet many different needs of young people. Seven Summits curriculum has been created to meet students’ needs and is fundamentally aimed to facilitate a ‘brilliant way of living’, but we have also ensured that our content is relevant, interesting and engaging for students. Seven Summits’ online educational content and resources will allow students and teachers to explore areas of content in a way that will enable them to experience new and interesting things that will inspire learning and inspire going deeper with the content.
The Seven Summits team is a perfect example of this ‘co-curricular’, ‘integrated’ approach to student wellbeing and educational development. We are made up of people from a range of backgrounds and experiences, each bringing a specialised and deep wealth of knowledge that all integrates beautifully together. The Seven Summits online educational content and resources have been made to make a difference to students’ lives, to impact young people in an engaging way and to enable educators to be a vital part of that learning.
