BRAVING Course is FLEXIBLE TO MEET YOUR GROUP NEEDS & TIME CONSTRAINTS.

This is our suggested session structure, but you can mix it up or just watch and reflect:

COURSE CREATOR

For more than 15 years, Ruth Lewis-Jones has been working in schools and creating resources and curricula to equip and empower teenage girls in their identity, wellbeing and mental health.

She is the founder and CEO of the award-winning Nationally implemented Esteem Designz Program (partnering with 500+ schools, churches and community organisations to empower their girls) and internationally acclaimed ChooseREAL movement.

Ruth won the 2017 NSW / ACT Young Achiever for Community Service and the People’s Choice Award. She was also nominated for Young Australian of the Year and finalist for the Telstra Business Woman's Award.

She is also a Youth Pastor, speaker, workshop presenter, mentor and designer, passionate about seeing this next generation rise up in their true identity and purpose.

Course FAQ

  • The course has 7 BRAVING Mindset Guides + a bonus Guide.

    The Mindset Guides have a flexible structure to meet your group needs / timeframes.

    You could run 1 Mindset Guide per week or spread it out over multiple weeks working through the Wellbeing Worksheets as needed, or run a few Mindset Guides in the 1 session if you are just doing the video and quick reflection.

    You can also use the Wellbeing Worksheets in response to mental struggles or as proactive activations. These can be used in conjunction with other subjects / initiatives.

  • BRAVING can be used across senior primary to all of high school.

    You can pick and choose Wellbeing Worksheets and Discussion Questions that best suit your group.

  • BRAVING was created after Ruth was contacted by a school to come and speak to their students. 

    After asking the needs of their students and what they hoped to achieve, and being given a huge list of struggles the girls were facing, Ruth decided to form some foundational keys that could help them across any area of concern they were facing, going to the root of the issues — their mindset, attitude, belief, perspective, focus — that could create lasting and repeatable change.

    The feedback from the school was so impactful that Ruth decided to dig deeper into these foundational tools / Mindset Guides, working alongside Mental Health Specialists and Teachers to research and develop out the content and practical tools. 

    Ruth is passionate about providing resources that are practical, engaging and effective.
